Woman dies after car goes down embankment at Seacliff State Beach

APTOS — Officials said a 68-year-old Watsonville woman died after her car went down an embankment and crashed onto the picnic area at Seacliff State Beach Saturday morning.According to a release from the California Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a 2018 Toyota RAV4 in a southerly direction on State Park Drive south of Santa Cruz Avenue into Seacliff State Beach at 8:23 a.m. For an unknown reason, the driver drove the vehicle down an embankment and crashed onto the picnic area.The driver sustained major injuries and was transported by ambulance to Dominican Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KRON) — One man died after a shooting in the Tenderloin on Saturday afternoon, according to the San Francisco Police Department. One dead in motorcycle crash on Hwy-1 Just after 1 p.m., officers from the Tenderloin Station responded to the 200 block of Golden Gate Avenue for a report of a shooting. The officers arrived and found a 52-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.Officers called emergency medical crews to the scene after providing aid to the man. The victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite efforts by medical personnel, the victim died because of his injuries.
