Pedestrian-Auto Collision Near 28th Street Left 31-Year-Old Man Fatally InjuredSAN DIEGO, CA (June 27, 2023) – Saturday evening, a pedestrian accident on State Route 94 claimed the life of William Benjamin Koch.The fatal collision happened around 9:21 p.m. along the eastbound lanes of SR-94, west of 28th Street in the neighborhood of Grant Hill.According to CHP, a white Chevrolet Silverado pick hit the pedestrian attempting to cross the freeway lanes. Subsequently, the 44-year-old Chevy driver pulled over as one witness contacted emergency dispatch.Unfortunately, the first responders declared the pedestrian dead at the scene.
